   • Consulted and followed thousands of ALS patients, their families and
      healthcare providers through home visits and on the phone over the
      years
   • Investigator of ALS patients using home mechanical ventilation since
      1984
   • Pioneer investigator of nasal ventilation in ALS individuals
      (J Neurol Sci 139 (Suppl) (1996) 123-128)
   • Provided numerous programs in Ohio, the USA, and abroad on optimal
      care for ALS
   • Co-facilitated the ALS Support Group in Canton, Ohio (since 1984)
   • Authored numerous articles on managing and living with ALS
   • An Allied Health Member of the American College of Chest Physicians
      (ACCP); and serves on the steering committee of the Home Care
      Network.
   • A member of the American Academy of Neurology
   • A member of the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC)
   • Serves on the Respiratory Care Advisory Board of Stark State College,
      Canton, Ohio, USA
   • Served as the first Nurse Coordinator of the ALS Center at the
      Cleveland Clinic Foundation (1989 – 1995)
