Tiffany Slovan
Program Coordinator
Tiffany Slovan is the Program Coordinator for the ALS Care
Project. Dedicated to the ALS care research and education
mission, she has faithfully served as a coordinator of
programs since 2006.
ALS has had a profound impact on Tiffany and her family. To
date, four members in her family have been diagnosed with
ALS. Early in 2009, she lost a beloved aunt to ALS.
Currently, she has two cousins (who are brothers) with
Familial ALS (FALS). Her cousins have been living with

FALS for many years.
Ironically, Tiffany lost her stepfather to ALS in
June, 2003. He was not related to her cousins or
aunt. Tiffany
has always felt extremely honored to have served as
a family caregiver. She helped care for her
stepfather when his disability had progressed. He
always thought of clever inventions and practical
methods for making life easier. He taught his family
the true meaning of love, support, and what family
was all about. Tiffany resides in Jackson Township,
in Canton, Ohio with her husband and their four
sons. Tiffany is the Marketing Director for Allay
Senior Care of Meyers Lake and is an active member
of the Jackson Belden Chamber of Commerce. Through
the ALS Care Project, she desires to help make a
significant difference in the lives of people with
ALS and their families, including her own. Tiffany
has a servant’s heart and a genuine compassion for
ALS families.
Tiffany grew up in Youngstown and has many family
members and friends in Stark and Mahoning Counties.
